- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh versions 4.0, 5.0

SUMMARY

In Print Preview of Microsoft Word for the Macintosh versions 4.0 and 5.0, a manual page break inserted below a table is not recognized if the table is not absolutely positioned. Clicking on the margin icon in Print Preview and moving the page break up the page will create the appearance of a manual page break, but the page will not break effectively when printed.

Word will not accept the placement of a manual page break below a table in Print Preview unless the table is absolutely positioned. A manual page break can be inserted in Galley View by pressing SHIFT+ENTER (on the keypad) below the point where the page break is desired.
