The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 , 3.01, 3.02, 4.0

SYMPTOMS

Word Finder will beep if it is activated without a previously highlighted search selection. Word Finder comes up with a blinking cursor in the Find entry box, which is empty. The beep indicates that a selection needs to be entered.

Word Finder will also beep if you have selected too much text, such as a large paragraph or an entire document.

In either case, Word Finder will beep once and then wait for you to key in a word to find.

Microsoft Word 5.0 and WordFinder do not work together.
