Word 5.00: Moving to End of Document Is Very Slow

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

When the Options “paginate:” field is set to Auto, moving the cursor to the bottom of the document by pressing the CTRL+PGDN keys may be slow because Word is repaginating the document as it is moving the cursor to the end.

This is part of the background repagination feature of Word Version 5.00. Changing the Options “paginate:” field to Manual causes Word to immediately jump to the end of the document when pressing the CTRL+PGDN keys.
