Word Finder Beeps When Selected Using Keyboard Command

PSS ID Number: Q45840 Article last modified on 03-07-1997

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 , 3.01, 3.02, 4.0

SUMMARY

When a keyboard command (COMMAND-1) is pressed that Word versions 3.x or 4.00 does not recognize, the Macintosh beeps. Since the key command for Word Finder is not a valid Word key command, Word tells the Macintosh to beep before allowing Word Finder to run.

There is currently no workaround for this situation, other than to access Word Finder with the mouse.
