Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q44670
Summary:
When you are using a date as the criteria for a Find command in Microsoft File versions 1.x and 2.00, no records will be returned if you don't enter the date in the Find dialog box in the same format as it is displayed in the data file. To find the date in the data file, enter the date in the same format used for the field in the data file.
For example, if a date appears in the data file in the long format, for example, November 21, 1989, enter the date into the Find dialog box in the long format, for example, November 21, 1989 (not 11/21/89).
More Information:
The three formats available for Date fields in File are long, medium, and short:
Long Medium Short ---- ------ ----- November 21, 1989 Nov 21, 1989 11/21/89
