Column Break Is Ignored

SUMMARY

Manual column breaks (CTRL+ALT+ENTER) are ignored if the column break is entered inside an absolutely positioned object (APO).

When an APO is created, it inherits the keep-together property by default. As a result, Word cannot split the object between two columns and the manually inserted column break is ignored.
