SUMMARY

If you are working with a color monitor and apply the color white (Character format) to text, that text will not be visible on a white background unless you choose Show Paragraph from the Edit menu.

In Microsoft Word for Macintosh, this will also occur if the text is formatted as black on a black background.

This automatic change in color makes the text more editable.
