Paintbrush Patterns Have Checkerboard Effect

PSS ID Number: Q40821 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

SUMMARY

Paintbrush pictures that have areas filled by a selected pattern appear with a checkerboard effect when imported into Word.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is by design. Word cannot recognize the Paintbrush patterns and display them as they appear in Paintbrush. A workaround to alleviate some of this distortion is to create a larger image in Paintbrush so the image does not have to blown up so much in Word.
