Avoiding the Multiplan “#VALUE” Error when Adding Cells PSS ID Number: Q40112 Article last modified on 01-10-1989 PSS database name: D_MPlan

MS-DOS

Summary:

A “#Value” error will be returned in the cell that contains a formula that adds cells together if one of the cells to be added has text in it.

To avoid this message, use the SUM() function to add the cell values. The SUM() function will overlook text, whereas the + (PLUS SIGN) will not.
