Summary:

When printing from Word version 4.00 to a letter-quality printer using the Mac Daisy Link driver from GDT in typewriter mode, extra space may be inserted after every third line of type, or lines of text may overlap, under the following conditions:

  1. The font size of the text being printed is 10 points.
  2. Line spacing is set to “auto” in the Paragraph dialog box.

Either of the following two solutions should correct this problem:

Method 1

  1. Select all of the text.
  2. From the Font menu, choose 12 points.

Method 2

  1. Select all of the text.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Paragraph.
  3. Type “12 pt” in the Line Spacing box. Click OK.

This problem is caused by a limitation in the Mac Daisy Link printer driver.
