Word Error Message: “Cannot Delete File”

The following are causes and cures for this error message:

1. You used the file during the current session. First choose Transfer Clear All, then Transfer Delete. In Word version 5.50, choose File (ALT, F), Close All (L). Then select File File Management ((ALT, F, F), chose the filename, and Delete (ALT+L).
2. You entered a filename that is not on the disk. Check the disk directory for the file and correct the filename.
3. The disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protect tab from the disk if you want to delete the file.
