MS-DOS

SUMMARY

When loading a document from Drive C, if Word looks to Drive B before going to Drive C, look at the Format Stylesheet Attach command. This probably will show B:.STY.

To remove this line, do the following:

  1. Press the DEL key.
  2. Press ENTER to carry out the command.
  3. Save the file.

Now it will load the file from Drive C without looking in Drive B each time.

This problem as been resolved in Word version 5.00.

If this problem should occur in Word 5.50, choose Attach Style Sheet from the Format menu (ALT, T, A), then detach the style sheet by selecting Detach (ALT+H) in the Style Sheet box.
