SUMMARY
The differences between single-user and network Word are as follows:
- Network Word looks for MW.INI, SCREEN.VID, and UPDAT-AM.CMP in the user’s directory, or in the MSWNET environment variable if defined, instead of in the program and spell directory, respectively.
- Network Word looks for NORMAL.STY and NORMAL.GLY first in the current (user) directory, then in the workstation Word directory (defined in MSWNET), then in the program directory.
- Network Word keeps its files open as long as possible to lock them.
