Description of the Epson Equity 1 and 2 Computers PSS ID Number: Q35116 Article last modified on 09-23-1991 PSS database name: PSS

Summary:

The Epson Equity 1 and 2 computers are essentially the same machine. The Equity 2 has a larger power supply to handle the standard 20-megabyte, half-height hard drive. The computers use the 8088-2 microprocessor, run at a hardware-switchable 4.77 megahertz, or 6.0 megahertz. They come with a built-in 25-pin serial port, a parallel port, Hercules graphics capability, and one 360K, half-height, floppy-disk drive. One interesting point about the Equity 2 is that when the machine is turned off, it automatically parks the head of the hard drive.
