Session Summary



This session will discuss methods that you can use to create events in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET. It will also review some of the ways that you can handle events, add handlers for events, and stop handling events. It will also talk about some good uses for events and will talk about an application that uses events to update a status box while processing a list of files. It will also talk about some of the changes that give you more power over events than you had in Visual Basic 6.0.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded November 14, 2002 and presented by Zach Kramer. Zach Kramer has been with Microsoft for more than a year and has experience coding in several Web-based languages. He is currently on the Visual Basic Developer Support team and specializes in programming .NET and Windows applications. He also has experience with Visual Basic 6.0.
