OFFXP: When You Use the Office XP Chart Component to Create a Chart, Additional Entries Disappear After You Hide Legend Entries

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Office XP Chart component to create a chart, and you a hide a legend item, one or two other legend items also disappear. You may notice this when you view the top or bottom of the chart (where two legend items appear side by side).

Typically, you hide a legend item by using a placeholder series to create null (or omit) specific data points in the other series.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Office XP service pack that contains this hotfix.

When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
