SYMPTOMS
Under the following conditions, your ActiveX drop-down box (Combo Box) may revert to its default value:
- You open an Excel file with worksheets.
- The worksheets contain several ActiveX drop down boxes (Combo Boxes) through a Web hyperlink.
- You set the value in a different Combo box. After you do so, each Combo box may revert to its default value.
For example, after you set a value in ComboBox1, and then set a value in ComboBox2, ComboBox1 may revert to its default value.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Office 2000 service pack that contains this fix.

After the hotfix is installed, the English version of this fix will have the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
