SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade from Exchange 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2) to Exchange 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), the registered custom forms in the system mailbox may vanish. This problem occurs every time that you install Exchange 2000 SP3.
CAUSE
After you install the service pack and the information store service restarts, the information store service runs a clean up procedure on the system mailbox. This clean up updates the schema information in the system mailbox. This problem may occur if the custom forms are lost during this process.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the March 2003 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) Rollup. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem:
- After you install Exchange 2000 SP3, register the customer forms again.

- Do not use the system mailbox to register custom forms.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
