FIX: Improved Performance for .NET Compact Framework on ARM Interworking Kernel

SYMPTOMS

When you are using the ARM version 4.I (Interworking) kernel (ARMV4I), you notice that the performance of CPU-intensive Microsoft .NET Compact Framework applications is significantly limited.

RESOLUTION

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.1 Core OS QFE 329000. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:

This fix provides a new run-time environment that has been optimized for running on ARMV4I kernels.

Important You must install the Windows CE .NET 4.1 Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 1.0 RTM Update before you install the hotfix that is mentioned in this article.
