SYMPTOMS
The message transfer agent (MTA) may leak memory from allocations that are made in emsmta!CCryptContext::HrInit. If you obtain a UMDH dump file, it shows a consecutive increase in memory usage with stacks that are similar to:
ntdll!RtlDebugAllocateHeap+000000FD ntdll!RtlAllocateHeapSlowly+0000005A ntdll!RtlAllocateHeap+000008C2 KERNEL32!LocalAlloc+00000074 rsabase!MakeNewKey+00000014 rsabase!CPInflateKey+000001CB ADVAPI32!CryptGetUserKey+00000068 emsmta!CCryptContext::HrInit+000000C3 ntdll!RtlDebugAllocateHeap+000000FD ntdll!RtlAllocateHeapSlowly+0000005A ntdll!RtlAllocateHeap+000008C2 KERNEL32!LocalAlloc+00000074 ADVAPI32!BuildVKey+0000000A emsmta!CCryptContext::HrInit+000000C3 ntdll!RtlDebugAllocateHeap+000000FD ntdll!RtlAllocateHeapSlowly+0000005A ntdll!RtlAllocateHeap+000008C2 KERNEL32!LocalAlloc+00000074 rsabase!SetCSPInfo+0000008F ADVAPI32!CryptGetUserKey+00000068 emsmta!CCryptContext::HrInit+000000C3
CAUSE
This problem may occur if a handle is allocated, but is never released. This causes the leak.
