SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade from the evaluation version to the retail version of Services for UNIX 3.0, you are not prompted for a product key.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft recommends that you completely remove (uninstall) the evaluation version and then reinstall the full product. However, if you install before the evaluation expires, you may be able to upgrade to the full version without losing your settings.

If you wait until the evaluation version expires, you must completely remove Services for UNIX 3.0.
