SYMPTOMS
If you install Windows XP MultiLanguage Version and you switch to a different language, you may see mixed languages in the console for policy descriptions. For example, the description of the policy for user permission assignment may contain one line in English, and another line in German:
bypass traverse checking
auf diesen Computer vom Netzwerk zugreifen
CAUSE
The mixed languages occur because of the different ways in which the strings for the user permissions are retrieved. User permissions that were added in recent versions of Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Windows 2000 are stored differently from earlier user permissions.
