SYMPTOMS

If you use PAGE_SETUP as a CallbackId value for the PCL6 unidriver, an exception occurs in the Unidriver module.

CAUSE

With a PCL5 driver, the processing occurs correctly no matter which *Order setup value is specified. If JOB_SETUP is specified, the render CommandCallback method is called only one time per job. If PAGE_SETUP is specified, the render CommandCallback method is called for every page.

With a PCL6 driver, processing seems to occur correctly only if JOB_SETUP is specified for the *Order setup value. If PAGE_SETUP is specified for a single-page document, the output is correct. For a multiple-page document, the first page is processed correctly. On the second page, however, after the CommandCallback render plug-in method has been processed, control returns to the unidriver, and then an exception occurs in the Unidriver module.
