SYMPTOMS

When an out-of-office (OOF) notification message is sent from a mailbox on a server that is running Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) to a user on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 (Exchange Server), the Exchange Server user does not receive the OOF message as expected. The OOF message is generated by the Exchange 2000 mailbox and passes through the categorizer, but the OOF message is silently dropped by Exchange 2000 before it is sent to the Exchange Server user.
