SYMPTOMS

When you add a counter to the System Monitor in Performance Logs and Alerts in Microsoft Windows XP, the process name of a Thread performance object does not display in the instance name list in the Add Counters dialog box.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
