- Microsoft Windows CE Platform Builder 4.1
This article was previously published under Q327558
SYMPTOMS
The Nmake.exe tool may unexpectedly shut down. This shutdown may occur while you are building a Microsoft Windows CE-based destination computer that has many Sourcelibs components.
The occurence of the problem varies with the length of the _PUBLICROOT platform directory path. The problem varies because every entry in the Sourcelibs directory contains the full path of the library file. Therefore, Nmake variables may become larger than an internal buffer. When the buffer is overrun, exceptions may occur.
