SYMPTOMS

An access violation may occur in Svchost.exe, and the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service may stop. The following error message is recorded in the event log:

Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7031
Description:
The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.
