A printer driver upgrade from the Print user interface (UI) may not succeed and may not generate any error messages on a Windows NT 4.0-based computer that is running the Security Rollup Package (SRP) that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q299444. When this occurs, the upgrade seems to complete successfully, but the latest drivers for the printer are not installed and you do not receive any error messages.
