SYMPTOMS
When you try to log on to a Windows 2000 FTP session, you may not be able to establish a connection.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if the following conditions exist:
- You are using a password with one or more leading white spaces.
- The Windows 2000 Security Rollup Package 1 (SRP1) is installed on your computer.
With Windows 2000 SRP1, you can use spaces as valid password characters at the beginning of a password. Because of this, leading white space characters are not removed.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
