Session Summary

During this session, we will discuss how to use the corrupted file recovery features in Microsoft Excel. We will cover both the automatic functionality and the manual methods to invoke file recovery, how Excel displays the results of attempts to recover a file, as well as what happens when Excel is unable to recover a corrupted file.

This is a Level 100 session that was recorded September 18, 2001 and presented by Wendal Dorsey. Wendal Dorsey has been a Microsoft support professional since March 1995, and has supported Microsoft Excel during his entire tenure. He was most recently involved in writing and delivering Microsoft internal training for Excel 2002, including writing the lessons about Excel 2002 disaster recovery functionality, of which corrupted file recovery is a part. Wendal is currently a support professional in Microsoft Premier Applications Support, supporting Excel for corporate customers.
