Session Summary
PortQry is a port scanning utility that is available for newer Windows systems. It is very useful for troubleshooting various network connectivity issues. In this session we discuss the basic mechanisms used to scan ports and their limitations. The PortQry utility is introduced and its functionality is discussed.
This is a Level 200 session that was recorded May 6, 2002 and presented by Tim Rains. Tim Rains is a Technical Lead on the Server Platforms Networking Team within Microsoft Product Support Services. Tim helps support both small and large networks for Microsoft's customers. He has developed several troubleshooting utilities including PortQry.
