SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Windows 2000-based domain controllers in an Active Directory directory service may be slow to remove objects from a Windows 2000-based global catalog server.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if many objects are removed in a relatively short period of time. The Knowledge Consistency Checker (KCC) can remove 500 objects in a session. By default, KCC runs every 15 minutes. This process may result in the slow removal of objects from a Windows 2000-based global catalog server.
