Session Summary



In this session, you will learn about the importance of security in the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 environment. You will learn the different layers of security that SMS uses, and how to configure those security layers. You will also learn how to troubleshoot security-related issues down the to SMS Provider layer.

This is a Level 300 session that was recorded November 7, 2000 and presented by Wally Mead. Wally Mead is a Program Manager in the SMS product group, specializing in SMS training for the SMS JDP program. Wally has been with Microsoft over eight years in the training group, PSS, and now the product group. He began working with SMS prior to the version 1.0 release in 1994.
