Session Summary
From Office document to .pdf files, the Web is filled with a wide variety of content. To differentiate among these content types, Internet Explorer uses MIME type detection based on a number of information sources. In this session, we will discuss this process and the ramifications it has on today's Web development.
This is a Level 200 session that was recorded January 11, 2001 and presented by Dan Mohr. Dan Mohr joined Microsoft in 1999 as a support professional with the Microsoft Developer Support Internet Client team. He is currently the plug-in and browser extension specialist and has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
