Session Summary
As you migrate from Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange 2000 Server, you may encounter problems that affect directory synchronization, mail flow, or public folder replication. These problems can seriously affect the business, if they are not quickly resolved. In this presentation, we will discuss the five most common problems that occur in mixed-mode environments. We will demonstrate methods that you can use to troubleshoot problems, and talk about the best solutions offered. During this presentation, we will also offer suggestions for avoiding these kinds of problems.
This is a Level 300 session that was recorded December 7, 2001 and presented by Tom Jones. Tom Jones is a technical lead in the Exchange Connectors support team in Washington. He has worked with Microsoft Exchange products for nearly five years and has been in the messaging industry for more than nine years. Tom's expertise ranges from X.400 and SMTP to security and clustering. The majority of his experience has involved working with Enterprise customers in supporting and maintaining their Exchange messaging systems. Tom works regularly with the beta team preparing to support new releases and highlighting common problems in the existing product.
