Session Summary
During this session, we will discuss best practices to use when preparing a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) to upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Professional Edition. The goal of this discussion is to review and eliminate some common issues, and make the upgrade process a smooth one.
This is a Level 200 session that was recorded April 26, 2002 and presented by Kevin Clarke. Kevin Clarke has worked with Microsoft in various capacities since 1999. With a background in server setup, Kevin worked as a Beta Engineer focusing on the core operating system for Windows XP. He currently works for Product Support Services (PSS), creating and delivering training to Microsoft Support Professionals while mentoring in a tiered-support environment, to make sure that Windows XP customers receive quality support.
