STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
MORE INFORMATION
This problem is merely an optimization issue with the library. It should cause no loss of functionality. Until an updated library is available, the message can be suppressed by setting the "Configuration Flags" registry value to turn off the data buffer alignment test as described in the following Knowledge Base article.
