SYMPTOMS
Every time you start an Office v. X for Mac program (including Word X, Entourage X, Excel X, or PowerPoint X), you are prompted for the CD Key.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you have more than one stand-alone version of an Office v. X program installed in the same folder.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Install the first program by using the drag-and-drop method.
- Rename the Microsoft Office X folder on the hard disk. For example, if you are installing Word X, rename the folder as Microsoft Word X.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each program that you want to install.
