SUMMARY

Microsoft has created an update for system and device manufacturers that adds native support in Windows XP for Bluetooth wireless technology. This update permits Windows to work with several types of devices that implement Bluetooth wireless technology, such as personal computer peripherals and personal computer companions. This update can be distributed to customers under license agreement with Microsoft. If you are not a system or device manufacturer, contact the manufacturer of your Bluetooth wireless technology device to obtain this update.

MORE INFORMATION

To add support for Bluetooth wireless technology to Windows XP, system and device manufacturers can contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain this update. For a complete list of Microsoft Product Support Services phone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Note: In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a specific update will resolve your problem. The typical support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the specific update in question.
