Relog Command Creates Damaged .blg Files in Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

You may experience a problem after you use a command like the relog perfmon4.log -f bin -o sysmonXP.blg command to convert Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-type Performance Monitor logs to Windows XP-type System Monitor. After you do so, the resulting .blg file may be damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1.
