SYMPTOMS

After you try to use a command-line program such as Xcopy.exe or Copy.exe to copy a file from an encrypted folder to an unencrypted folder in Microsoft Windows XP, some programs may not work correctly.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when the user temporary folders are encrypted, and the program that copies files cannot copy files from these temporary folders.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

STATUS
