SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) and you try to change a user password, you may receive the following error messages:
-or-
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the option to change the password by using OWA is not activated, by default. You can only configure this option if Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is installed on the OWA server and a specific virtual directory must be configured in Internet Information Services (IIS). The articles referenced in the "More Information" section address both of these issues.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
