SYMPTOMS
When you click a hyperlink or button in Internet Explorer for Macintosh, nothing may occur.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if all of the following conditions exist:
- The site that you are visiting has redirected your browser a number of times by using a script-language-redirection command such as response.redirect.
- The redirections are to locations in the same site.
- The redirections have all occurred during the same Internet Explorer session.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
- Visit another site, and then return to the site with redirections.
- Quit and then restart Internet Explorer.
- Use the server.transfer command instead of the response.redirect command.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
