PPT2000: Strings Do Not Appear in Outlook Messages When You Copy and Paste Them from PowerPoint

Article ID: 320522

Article Last Modified on 4/28/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q320522

SYMPTOMS

If you copy and paste strings from PowerPoint 2000 to a Microsoft Outlook message that is in HTML format, the strings do not appear in the message.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the first time that you copy and paste strings from PowerPoint 2000 to an HTML message, there is a tag after the pasted strings, which has "DISPLAY:none" as the style. The next time that the strings are pasted in an HTML message or if you paste new strings in an HTML message, the strings inherit the "DISPLAY:none" style from the tags. This inherited "DISPLAY:none" style from the tag does not allow the pasted or inputted strings to appear.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
