SYMPTOMS
When you try to install only the UserStore database on a server, you receive the following error message:
However, when you install the same build on another computer that has either Wdaldict or Sud installed before you install UserStore (or while you are installing UserStore), the problem does not occur.
CAUSE
In the standalone installation of UserStore, the user wtv_service is not created.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the latest service pack for Microsoft TV Server.
WORKAROUND
To work around the problem, do one of the following:
- Install Service Pack 2 before you create a standalone Userstore.
-or- - If you have already created a standalone Userstore, and if the user wtv_service does not exist, create the user wtv_service. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open SQL Enterprise Manager.
- On the Tools menu, click Wizards.
- In the Select Wizard dialog box, expand Database, and then double-click Create Login Wizard. Complete the steps in the wizard.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft TV Server 1.0 Service Pack 2.
