To Turn Off Windows Critical Update Notification
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Windows Critical Update Notification, click Change/Remove, and then remove Update Component.
- Confirm that you want to remove the component.
To Add Features from Microsoft Windows Update Manually
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Add New Programs, and then click Windows Update.
- Follow the instructions on the Microsoft Windows Update Web site to locate and add new Windows features, system updates, and device drivers.
