SYMPTOMS
When you print a presentation with a slide size of 11" x 8.5" (standard slide size is 10" x 7.5"), you receive the following warning:
The slides in your presentation exceed the printable area of the paper in you printer. You can scale the slides to fit the paper or print anyway.
There are three buttons:
- Scale and Print
- Print Anyway
- Cancel
This does not occur versions of PowerPoint earlier than PowerPoint 2002.
CAUSE
When you print a slide with the same size as the paper size, objects on the slide that are in the "nonprintable region" are not printed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP-2).
