A Yellow Exclamation Point May Be Displayed on the ATA Flash Card Entry in Device Manager While the Laptop Is Docked

SYMPTOMS

For certain laptop computers, if an ATA Flash Card device is present in the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) device slot while the computer is inserted in the docking station (hot-docked), a yellow exclamation point (!) may be displayed on the ATA Flash Card entry in Device Manager. The ATA Flash Card device does not work while the yellow exclamation point is present.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, remove the ATA Flash Card device from the PCMCIA device slot before you insert the computer into the docking station, and then reinsert the ATA Flash Card device after you successfully dock the computer.
