SYMPTOMS
When you open a document that contains Quote fields that have large amounts of data (approximately 5000 characters or more), the CPU may peak and remain at 100 percent utilization.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Word 2002 stops responding and starts scanning from the beginning of the Quote field again when it encounters a Quote field with more than 5000 characters. This places Word 2002 in an infinite loop until you close the document.
RESOLUTION
