SYMPTOMS
When you try to chop an .avi file by using the AVIChop program, you may receive the following error message:
If you view the data that the error report contains, you may receive the following error signature information:
App Name App Version Module Name Module Version Offset ---------------------------------------------------------------- Avichop.exe 1.0.0.1 Avifil32.dll 5.1.2600.0 0000538d
CAUSE
This issue may occur because the AVIChop program is not completely compatible with Windows XP.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, obtain and install the most current Windows Compatibility Update from the Critical Updates section of the following Microsoft Web site:
